Social Media Campaign

Owned and operated by Jamie Beatson and Chanel Snowden, Ohukia Lodge is one of Australasia’s top breaking and Ready to Run operations.

 

Known for being the very best, we have always had a massive amount of respect for Jamie and Chanel’s horsemanship and professionalism. After visiting their beautiful Karapiro based property, it wasn’t hard to see why they are so successful at what they do.

 

Ziba Creative was engaged to create an impactful social media campaign to promote Ohukia Lodge’s consignment of two-year-old’s for the 2019 New Zealand Bloodstock Ready to Run Sale.

 

After delving into their systems, we came to the quick realisation that these guys have seriously perfected their craft.

 

We were, therefore, eager to create a marketing campaign that was unique and tailored to suit Ohukia Lodge’s point of difference.

 

Following a late-night brainstorming session (and far too many coffees), we developed a creative concept that would take people behind the gates of Ohukia Lodge.

 

We achieved this by breaking the horses’ Ready to Run journey down into twelve steps. Beautiful imagery was used as a visual aid, and carefully crafted copy was introduced to educate the audience about each integral step taken to prepare a horse for the Ready to Run Sale.

 

We aptly named the campaign; ‘The Journey of a horse on the road to success’.

 

To maximise brand exposure and online engagement in the lead up to the Sale, we released a new step each day on Ohukia Lodge’s chosen social media channels; Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

 

Thank you to Jamie and Chanel for letting us loose on this project. The whole process from capturing the imagery, to delivering the campaign was an unbelievable amount of fun!
